So sorry everyone, I didn't mean to go dark on you last week. Things are (and this should come as no surprise to those of you who have been with me for awhile) crazy around here again. But, I just keep trudging forward.
Anyway, I have lots of things to share with you all - despite the crazy I have tried to get a little creative so today I'm going to play along with the Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop Challenge. I finally got to sit down last night and bring my idea to life so here it is:
You'll have to excuse the lousy pictures. It was late, it was dark and in the words of Tim Gunn (love) I was trying to "make it work". The challenge was to use fabric or felt in packaging. I immediately thought of some plain white fabric I had leftover from another project and knew I wanted to try my hand at creating my own patterned fabric.
To start I cut a piece of fabric and selected an image from the new PTI Happiest of Holiday's stamp set. Then I used Hawaiian Shores ink and stamped the sentiment right on to the fabric.
It looked a little plain with just the sentiment so I used the snowflake image from the new PTI Winter Snow Globe set and put some Hibiscus Burst snow flakes on to my fabric.
I wrapped up my little gift and tied it with a piece of cream ribbon I had. Then I cut a tag using PTI Kraft cardstock and the Mat Stack 4 die and stamped it again with the same images and inks as my fabric.
I like how it turned out. There are lots of other stamps that would look good like this so I think I might try so do some more of these - maybe with some image stamps. It went together super quick so it certainly wouldn't be a bad option for quick gift wrap of small gifts.
I hope you liked this little project. I know there will be lots of great ideas on the blog hop so be sure to visit Nichole Heady's Blog and see all the projects that get linked up today!
